Validators Find Their Home: Gnogen Acquires the Validators Brand
Gnogen announces its first-ever acquisition: The Validators Brand and IP.
Validators NFTs launched in November of last year (2021) with 1,000 original v1 robots. Soon after, an intelligent and patient community grew around this newly formed project, waiting to see which direction the much anticipated v2 collection would take.
As the early boom of the Elrond NFT Ecosystem started to dwindle down with global fears of uncertainty, digital artwork took a backseat to the social zeitgeist, and an NFT winter began. Consumers have become much more critical of teams, projects, and timelines. Teams have had to adjust in order to stay afloat with the numerous new projects flooding the ecosystem every week. Stress began to rise on every front and for every participant, and it has led to many teams bowing out of the NFT race. Some have been rug pulls, some have been genuine efforts that simply fizzled out, but nonetheless, the effects of a market-wide correction had taken their toll on everyone.
Validators project Founder Lucas Jensen has been battling cancer for many years now.
What once began as a passion project to express himself through digital art, has become a crushing weight. Communities are also feeling the stress of such turbulent times, and this stress has been shared for everyone else to take part in. Stress is among the main contributors to cancer worsening for the many warriors affected by it. More so for those who have as big of a heart as Lucas Jensen, and he felt the weight of the world fearing he would let the Validators community down.
That is why Gnogen has made the decision to acquire the Validators brand and take responsibility for the community that has developed there. The majority of proceeds from the primary sale of the v2 collection will be rightfully passed on to the Jensen Family, while we work hard to further all elements of the Validators Project for the future.
Validators will be removed from the Gnogen DAO Launchpad and will be 100% absorbed as an actual Gnogen Authentic product. This means the v2 collection will feature the coveted “Power Score” and will be able to mine the $GNG token. The launch of the v2 collection will also be slightly delayed by a few weeks.
