Demand for the Aermes NFT reward through the Aerovek Staking Agency has been remarkable. What started as a free bonus NFT turned into a full 7 part comic series where we get to follow the boy genius Aermes’ rise from a boy to a formidable young hero.
As mentioned in our previous medium blog post, the high demand led to some unfavorable side effects where technologically savvy collectors were able to run a bot that would track whenever there was an opening in the staking pool, and would immediately send a dummy wallet with EGLD to quickly take the spot. Through these botting means, several hundreds of extra NFTs have made their way into the Collector’s supply.
In our effort to help make up for this lack of foresight, we have decided to open the Aermes Trade-In Program. Here is a breakdown of how you could be eligible to trade your extra Aermes Acts for an Act you may not have overwise been able to get through the staking program. The rules are as follows:
*Trade any 3 Aermes Authentic NFTs to obtain an Act 4 in the Aermes Genesis Collection
*Trade any 5 Aermes Authentic NFTs to obtain an Act 5 in the Aermes Genesis Collection
*Trade any 7 Aermes Authentic NFTs to obtain an Act 6 in the Aermes Genesis Collection
*Trade any 10 Aermes Authentic NFTs to obtain an Act 7 in the Aermes Genesis Collection
Gnogen has made the difficult decision to mint 50 more General Release editions for Acts 4 through 7. This means 50 more Act 4s, 50 more Act 5s, 50 more Act 6s, and 50 more Act 7s will enter the supply. Those currently eligible to receive these tiered rewards will still receive a First Edition Aermes NFT, while the Trade-In Program will only allow collectors to trade in their excess Acts for General Release versions of the NFTs.
Whether you own a General Release for a First Edition, the utility as far as completing a full set will not be affected by this. In theory, you could have a First Edition for Acts 1 through 6, and even if you had a General Release version of Act 7, you would be considered a full set holder for any future promotions.
In closing, we are seeing a few day's delay on releasing the remaining Aermes Acts 3 through 7. Act 3 is tentatively scheduled for a release tomorrow, May 30th, with the remaining Acts not far behind. To reflect our deepest regret for failing to meet our self imposed May 31st deadline of having all 7 Aermes Acts released to our delegators, we will airdrop a special Act 8, which will not be considered for full set status nor can it be used within the trade-in program, to all eligible wallets.
Buckle up for the exciting continuation of the Aermes Genesis Storyline. Here’s some alpha: Emidas will make an appearance soon. Enjoy your Sunday Gnogenverse!
