Gnogen back again with another update on the popular Aerovek Staking Agency NFT reward: AERMES.
Since first discovering the botting issue weeks ago, we have had an amazing group of volunteers join forces to search the blockchain and track down wallets who were found gaming the system. Over 300 confirmed wallets botted the pool so that the instant someone had unstaked from the pool creating space, one of these wallets would immediately take the spot. This created conditions that basically made it impossible for non-developer delegators to find chances to stake in the pool.
We have taken a few steps to ensure these harmful actions will have their effects mitigated. First, these wallets along with their source wallets are hereby blacklisted from all future Gnogen NFT drops. Secondly, they will also be ineligible to receive Aermes Acts 3 through 7. Lastly, we will seek to correct the imbalanced distribution by offering a trade-in program, where collectors can trade-in Aermes Acts 1 through 3 to receive their desired Acts 4 through 7, while supplies last.
This will have a few domino effects. Previously, there were 300 full sets scheduled to be minted for Act 7. We will now likely mint around 50 more general release full sets, where the Top 300 delegators still receive the 1st Editions. The Gnogen team will discuss with the community the best ratio to accept trade-ins for Acts 4 through 7. The Aermes Acts that are traded in will be burned from the supply forever.
The rankings for the Aermes Genesis Collection are now locked in for good. No additional delegators will be added to this list, but the Aerovek Staking Agency will continue to offer robust $EGLD and $AERO dual token rewards for staking with their Agency. Tremendous efforts have been invested to turn Aerovek Staking into a hardware powerhouse, and we remained as committed as ever to contributing to Elrond’s decentralization and security.
